At Black Artist Forward, we believe in the power of creativity and the importance of supporting our vibrant community of black artists. We're thrilled to introduce the Thrive Fund, a new addition to our Funds in Action Initiative, designed to provide crucial financial support to black artists in need.

Now, members can apply for the Thrive Fund through our user-friendly online portal. We understand the challenges artists face, and we're here to make the process as seamless as possible.

No Complex Reporting

With the Thrive Fund, there's no need for receipts or complex reporting after receiving your funds. The money is yours to use as needed, with no pressure or strings attached. We believe in empowering artists to make decisions that best support their unique needs during a trying time.

Members Only

Joining our community is simple and rewarding. Our Standard Membership is always free, offering access to exclusive opportunities like the Thrive Fund. As a member, you'll be part of a supportive network dedicated to amplifying black voices in the arts.

A Members Only Funding Opportunity

Applying is easy and private.

Guidelines:

To qualify, you must be:

A current member of Black Artist Forward (membership is always free apply here).
You must reside in Cumberland County, North Carolina
You must fill out the application completely.
You can only qualify once every 4 months once you've received support.
You must complete financial education to apply again after receiving funding.
Over the age of 18

If you require more assistance please check out our emergency support page for emergency shelter, utilities, and groceries. Assistance is granted monthly on the last Monday of each month.
