He spends alot of his time giving back to the community by volunteering in Black Artist Forward, Back to School, Cut my City, Adopt a Highway, Dream Ville foundation partnership for children and many more other charities. "Growing up I did not have much as a child, but Christmas I would always get coloring books. I enjoyed coloring and using my imagination, and my first art teacher in middle school Speight Middle, Mr. Mathis, an Afro-American teacher and mentor pushed me to perfect techniques such as shading, symmetry, creating detailed work, and being patient, while in the process."After interviewing Mr. Mack and asking him about his style of art, this is what he had to say..”My style of art can't be defined I feel, I just flow with it, and have fun, learning new techniques as I create, hence the name @Kognoscenti (Cognoscenti) which means a connoisseur of all things. I enjoy different mediums of art. One can not be one dimensional right!? I never went to art school, but at the age of 10 I had an art scholarship. Art came naturally, I took a break from art but after the passing of my grandmother, mom, and aunt I got back into art.

"Life, the experiences that have taken place in my life, growing up was not easy at all. As a child I would watch the late Bob Ross as a child on PBS, my uncle draw, and before I knew I was caught up. I actually had a art scholarship to the art institute in Minneapolis but due to my grandmother being sick I declined and wanted to remain close to home. "
