About the event
Join us for the exciting virtual launch of Creative Currents, the debut digital literary journal presented by the Prince George’s County Poet Laureate Office and curated by Dr. Khadijah Z. Ali-Coleman, the county’s current Poet Laureate!
This inaugural issue showcases the vibrant creativity of Prince George’s County and surrounding areas, featuring an intergenerational mix of writers and visual artists—from middle school student KJ Fletcher to library executive and writer Nicholas Alexander Brown-Cáceres, performance poet Donney Rose, educator and author Maggie D Brace, and many more. Their work—spanning poetry, essays, plays, and visual art—reflects the rich diversity of experiences and voices within our community.
During this special event, you’ll:
