Join us for our inaugural haiku slam. The haiku slam is a head to head poetic competition where poets compete with original haiku poems. Selected judges from the audience will determine the winner based on the quality and impact of the haiku. Any poet may sign up at the door to compete, but come ready with at least 15 to 20 haiku for the competition. This will be a bracket-style competition. Original haiku, senryu, or “ku” (slam style haiku of 17 syllables or less) are welcome. This will be an amazing night of poetry.
The Jambalaya Soul Slam is the Triangle’s longest running poetry event!
